Tulsi Hot Chocolate



I first fell in love with Tulsi tea, when I took part on a 5 Day Stress Challenge by The Whole Journey. This green leafy, caffeine-free plant, also known as Ocimum sanctum L. and tulsi, is native to Southeast Asia and has immense benefits for the body, mind, and spirit. In our stressed out world, we definitely need more adaptogens as holy basil. An adaptogen is a natural substance that helps your body adapt to stress and promotes mental balance. The combination with cacao creates a warming, slightly spicy drink, ideal to wind down after a long stressful day.

Tulsi Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

1/3 cup full fat coconut milk

2 cups Tulsi tea

3 tbsp cacao powder

2 tsp cinnamon

honey to taste

Directions:

1. Prepare the Tulsi tea.

2. Heat milk with cacao powder and cinnamon.

3. Blend up in a blender.
