Homemade BBQ Sauce

Although we cannot officially pronounce the grilling season opened (it is indeed a very cold and rainy May here in Provence), I keep this barbecue sauce handy, in case the sun comes out during the weekend. Making this sauce takes just 5 minutes (plus 20 minutes on the stove) so there's no need to buy conventional BBQ sauce filled with flavorings and thickeners. I recently got fascinated by sauces, so stick around, as there will be more delicious recipes to come! By the way, what is life without a little sauce!

Homemade BBQ Sauce

Ingredients

2 spring onions, chopped

2 cloves garlic, chopped

2 tbsp olive oil

300 ml tomato sauce (just tomatoes and salt, check the label)

100 ml apple cider vinegar

50 ml balsamic vinegar

1 tsp cumin

salt, pepper to taste

Directions

1. Heat olive oil, add onion and garlic, simmer for 2 minutes.

2. Add other ingredients to the pot, bring to simmer on low for 20 minutes.

2. Enjoy!
