Cherry Clafoutis (paleo)

Cherries at Foodie in Provence

This recipe is quite handy if you are stuck with overripe cherries. It is super simple and kids friendly. You can use a cherry pitter to get the job done but it is doable also without. Banana and honey makes this clafoutis very sweet even for the non paleo community.

Cherry Clafoutis (paleo, dairy free version possible)


3 cups cherries, pitted

3 organic eggs

1 banana

3 tablespoons honey

half cup butter or ghee for dairy free version

lemon zest from half lemon


pinch of salt


1. Pit cherries and place them in greased baking dish

2. Blend eggs, banana, honey, butter or ghee, lemon zest, vanilla and salt.

3.Preheat the oven to 375 F/190 C.

4.Bake for 40 minutes.

Clafoutis can be eaten either warm or store it in the fridge to enjoy an early summer dessert for warm evenings!
